If she had lived, today would have been my mother's birthday. She died of cancer over 20 years ago but I still miss her every day. Grief is a very debilitating, but very natural, reaction to any kind of loss.
Whether it's the loss of a loved one, a job or even the end of a marriage, there are many who suffer daily from draining emotions and sagging energy. There are well-documented stages of grief: Shock, denial, protest and then, finally, the depression.
These emotions don't necessarily need to occur in any particular order, but any one of them can certainly cause an inability to focus and trouble concentrating or performing day-to-day tasks. One all natural way to not only proactively address this process, but also boost both energy and vitality (and rush the return of a more normal state of mind), is to inhale the soothing, uplifting and antidepressant qualities associated with an essential oil called marjoram.
This scent is considered the standard or traditional aroma-therapeutic way to help the body recover from loss and return to a state of normalcy. Apply two to three drops on a cotton ball and carry with you to sniff for comfort. Whenever you start to feel overwhelmed by the emotions of grief, simply take that piece of cotton and inhale the scent of the oil. Wait five minutes and smell again.
Soon enough all five senses should start to feel alive again and you'll know that a proverbial corner will have been turned.
